Electrolytic nickel plating with soldering properties equivalent to that of tin.

Are you having trouble with whisker issues? Please feel free to consult with us! We can provide a plating film without whisker formation!

Solderable nickel plating is an original technology developed by our company, providing electrical nickel plating with solderability equivalent to tin plating. Since it is nickel plating, whiskers do not occur from the plating film! Tin plating has excellent solderability, but it has the drawback of whisker generation. When whiskers grow at the connection points of electronic circuits, it can lead to shorts and the following issues: - System downtime - Equipment failure - Accidents such as fires "Our plating has good solderability like tin plating and is effective against whiskers!" This is possible with our company! Over 10 years have passed since its development, and it has a proven track record with many customers adopting it. Solderable nickel plating uses only nickel sulfate, nickel chloride, boric acid, and a gloss agent (equivalent to widely used commercial products) as liquid components. Since no additives to improve solder wettability are used, we do not use any substances that would violate the RoHS directive or REACH regulations. We can provide samples for solderability evaluation tests, so please feel free to contact us.

New standard base plating with good adhesion [High purity electric nickel plating]

A new standard as a base for chrome plating! 'High Purity Electroless Nickel Plating' has better adhesion than electroless Ni plating and has been adopted in over 30,000 cases.

We recommend "high-purity electroplated nickel" as the base for chrome plating. No gloss agents or additives are used, and due to the high purity of 99.9% nickel, it has good compatibility with chrome plating. Compared to chrome plating alone, corrosion resistance is dramatically improved. A special surface treatment is performed before plating, increasing adhesion with aluminum and iron. It can also be used for applications such as guide rolls (aluminum and iron) and cooling rolls. We recommend this to film manufacturers, extrusion machine manufacturers, and customers facing corrosion issues with rolls. 【Features】 ■ Industrial base nickel plating that requires reliability ■ Increased adhesion compared to electroless Ni plating ■ Improved corrosion resistance ■ Thicker plating for dimensional restoration is also possible *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

Electrolytic nickel plating (electro nickel plating)

Support for nickel plating from small products to large products.

Characteristics of Electroplated Nickel Nickel plating is said to have begun in 1843 when nickel was deposited from a bath of nickel sulfate and ammonium sulfate, and it is considered that industrial nickel plating was first carried out by Adams in 1869. Characteristics of Nickel Plating Compatible with materials such as aluminum, iron-based alloys, copper alloys, titanium, and resin materials. (Please consult for other materials) A high-purity nickel plating film can be obtained. The film has high hardness (the coating is hard). A ferromagnetic plating film can be obtained. Excellent glossiness (aesthetic quality). Excellent corrosion resistance (rust prevention). Soldering is possible. Excellent heat resistance. Compliant with RoHS directives. The hardness of the nickel plating film obtained through electroplating varies significantly depending on conditions such as additives. Dull nickel plating has a hardness of approximately HV200 to 250. Glossy nickel plating has a hardness of approximately HV400 to 500.

Electrolytic nickel plating with solder wetting properties equivalent to zinc plating.

Many successful adoptions! Our company's unique nickel plating for soldering. We offer free samples for soldering evaluation.

The solderable nickel plating developed independently by Silvec is an electroplated nickel for soldering. The solder wetting properties of solderable nickel achieve solder wetting comparable to tin plating. Solderable nickel, developed in response to customer requests, has been in mass production for over 10 years. It has a proven track record of being widely adopted in connectors and components used for soldering in low-voltage applications. No additives to improve solder wetting properties are used in solderable nickel plating. Only nickel sulfate, nickel chloride, boric acid, and a gloss agent (equivalent to commercially available and widely used products) are used, ensuring compliance with RoHS directives and REACH regulations. For more details, please refer to the catalog.

Our uniquely developed electro nickel plating excels in solder wetting properties.

Excellent solder wetting properties, with no worries about whisker formation! ~The appeal of this product revealed through comparisons with tin plating and tin alloy plating~

If you want to apply plating to soldered components or printed circuit boards, "tin plating," which has high solder wettability and excellent corrosion resistance, has been utilized as a very effective means. However, tin plating has the issue of whisker formation. Therefore, we would like to introduce our uniquely developed "solderable nickel plating." This plating has solder wettability equivalent to that of tin plating, but since it is an electroless nickel plating, there is no risk of whisker formation. In terms of whisker countermeasures, there are many tin alloy platings that add other metals to tin, which also have excellent solder wettability. *Examples: Tin-lead alloy plating, tin-silver alloy plating, tin-copper alloy plating, etc. Compared to those platings, our product has many appealing points such as "compliance with RoHS directives," "low cost," and "ease of plating." Although it is a new technology, it has received high evaluations in terms of performance and price, and we have numerous adoption records. If you have any concerns or requests, please feel free to contact us.

Electrolytic nickel plating (gloss)

It also works well as an undercoating! A beautiful glossy plating film can be obtained.

"Electrolytic Nickel Plating (Glossy)" is a plating that incorporates organic additives into the electrolytic nickel bath to achieve a glossy finish. Thanks to the leveling effect of the additives, a plating film with strong gloss is obtained, making it useful as a base plating. It is a versatile type of plating used in various applications, such as enhancing the gloss in decorative chrome plating, improving corrosion resistance in gold plating, and preventing metal diffusion in tin plating. 【Features】 ■ Improved surface smoothness by adding gloss agents ■ A plating film with a beautiful glossy finish is obtained ■ Effective as a base plating ■ A versatile type of plating used in various applications ● For more details, please visit our company website and contact us.
